SUNYA TELLS STUDENTS TO COME HOME.(Main)

The State University at Albany has summoned home all the students it has studying in China.

Katherine Krebs, assistant director of SUNYA's office of international programs, said Wednesday that the university has sent notices by telegraph and telex to five students in China that they must return home.

"We are following U.S. State Department policies," she said, noting that the government has told all U.S. citizens to leave China. "We think they are safe. We have no indication they are not."
