Council officials are considering what action to take after atraditional cottage was demolished without permission.
The bulldozing of Bluebell Cottage, Cammachmore, near Portlethen,is being investigated by Aberdeenshire Council.
Residents were outraged when building firm Tor Ecosse cleared thesite just months after being told it could not erect two largehouses at the spot.
It is claimed the firm acted on a building warrant withoutplanning permission.
Tor Ecosse director Eddie Innes said he was "sorry" for causingupset but insisted he had acted within the law.
