Read slump ahead of derby cup tie.

Chris Holt's side have now dropped below local rivals Clitheroe in the Houldsworth Solicitors Ribblesdale Cricket League hierarchy but the skipper admits that morale is still high in the camp.

He said: "The recent results have been a bit of a wake up call but we're still confident that we can keep the pressure on. Morale has never been a problem at the club and it's still very high."

Friday's comfortable eight wicket 20/20 victory against Padiham should have given Read the vigour to go on and record victory at New Lane the following day, but that wasn't the case.
